Our Passion: Bringing Hope to Those in Hopeless Places

It’s a complex world out there--conflict and civil unrest, climate change and natural disasters, refugees and global food shortages.  Helping people in need has never been more challenging.  Sometimes, bringing change and hope to the world may seem impossible.  But we believe that hope can, and should, be brought to people living in some of the world’s most challenging contexts.  To do this, humanitarian aid must move beyond good intentions to blend modern knowledge with local cultural insight.  

We don’t have easy answers but we do believe it is possible to change our world.  We are committed to helping people trapped in seemingly hopeless situations in far off parts of the world.  By listening to and understanding the needs of the people, Millennium workers develop projects that help solve human problems at the local level.  Our goal is to bring hope.  Hope flourishes when the focus is on people; and programs are born out of relationship.

Millennium Canada is part of a network of dedicated people who live long term among the people they serve.  Our field workers speak the local language and understand the culture.  Together with their adopted communities, they design social investment projects that solve very human problems at the grassroots level.  

Millennium teams are in many distant places in the world.  As part of this network, we at Millennium Canada are able to support any or all of these teams and their life giving projects.
